Foundation objectives;
-
To establish, maintain and provide scholarships, bursaries or prizes covering all levels of education, in order to encourage and develop knowledge and skills in all fields of primary industry to predominantly benefit the community of South Australia;
-
To encourage recipients of scholarships, bursaries or prizes to become involved in the activities of the Show Society; and
-
To undertake activities and promotions to educate the community of South Australia about the importance of primary industry to the economy and social fabric of the State.
Each year, the Royal Adelaide Show donates over $400,000 worth of tickets to charity groups, including Northern Foster Care, Indigenous Youth Mobility Pathways Project, Catherine House, Canteen SA/NT and Brain Injury SA. Each year, the Society also donates 9,000 tickets to every new South Australian citizen to the Royal Adelaide Show as an opportunity to experience one of the state’s most iconic community events. Since 2014, thousands of new citizens have enjoyed this special welcome.
