Established in March 2007, the Show Society Education Foundation supports
Agricultural Education and awards Scholarships.
FOUNDATION OBJECTIVES;
-
To establish, maintain and provide scholarships, bursaries or prizes covering all levels of education, in order to encourage and develop knowledge and skills in all fields of primary industry to predominantly benefit the community of South Australia;

To encourage recipients of scholarships, bursaries or prizes to become involved in the activities of the Show Society; and
-
To undertake activities and promotions to educate the community of South Australia about the importance of primary industry to the economy and social fabric of the State.
Over the past seven years, the Society has also gifted $2.1million in Royal Adelaide Show tickets and vouchers to South Australian charitable and non-profit groups.

Who Benefits?
FOUNDATION DONORS
The Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society of SA Inc ensures 100% of all donations to the Education Foundation’s Scholarship Fund are distributed to recipients. Donations to the Foundation’s Scholarship Fund are tax deductable.
SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
The Foundation provides the opportunity and support to individuals whom otherwise may not have had the ability to further their education in the primary industry sector. Since inception, the Foundation has distributed over $756,000 to South Australian agricultural education initiatives, including directly supporting more than 40 individual young people into tertiary studies. To be considered as a recipient of the Education Foundation Scholarship Fund expressions of interest are encouraged from education institutions, existing programs and individuals.

Contributing toward the education of future custodians and decision makers of South Australia’s primary industry provides a pathway to continued success and future growth within all fields of Primary Industry within Australia.

Funding
The Foundation provides the opportunity and support to individuals who otherwise may not have had the ability to further their education in the primary industry sector. The Foundation wants to contribute toward the education of future custodians and decision makers of South Australia’s primary industry providing a pathway to continued success and future growth within all fields of Primary Industry within Australia.

Trust Deed

Scholarships to South Australian residents for the purpose of promoting recipients’ education in Approved Australian Courses relating to agriculture, pastoralism, horticulture or related industries.
The Foundation will also consider sponsorship / scholarship requests which include collaborative funding with the private sector, providing it meets with the Foundation’s objectives.
2025 Funding
Applications must be submitted via email to foundation@adelaideshowground.com.au by COB Friday 1 November 2024.
Applicants should read the guidelines carefully and provide all information requested. The Foundation has a limited amount of funds to allocate with an increasing number of requests for support, therefore it is important to address the criteria to maximise the chance of a successful application. All applications will be treated in confidence.
